Victorious Violet

I can’t believe that 5 years ago today I started this blog.  My posts have often been sporadic and last year they were nil as I got my feet wet exploring Instagram. This year, I’ll try combining the two – sharing my love for design and what I’m crushing on here where I can go a little more in-depth while complimenting these thoughts on Instagram with additional photos to carry on the story…follow along @enlightenedcollector!

IMG_2311Of late, I can’t get enough purple…I’ve become obsessed with violet, lavender,  periwinkle, amethyst, lilac, orchid, magenta, wine…any and all shades have given me Purple Passion. The fact that Pantone’s color of the year is Ultraviolet may play a small part  – but everywhere I look, this mystical color seems to find me. Here are a few things that caught my attention this weekend while antiquing with mom…

This pair of vintage LEATHER! Herman Miller chairs were tucked away in a corner of the antique mall.  I want to redo my office just to have this Pop of Periwinkle!

I’m mad for my Easter shoes. I’d walk a mile for these Luscious Lavender suede flats.

Purple has the shortest wavelength and highest vibration of the visible spectrum of light.  As the color of the crown chakra, violet is often associated with our connection to heaven and spirituality.  St. Germain’s Violet Flame mantra (one of my favorites) has the grace to transmute, restore balance and release negative energy.

“Transmute, transmute by violet fire,  all causes and cores not of God’s desire.  I am a being of cause alone.  That cause is Love, the sacred tone.”  – St. Germain

Repeat three times and let the Power of Purple transform you! … Follow along on Instagram @enlightenedcollector the next few weeks and see what #purplepassion, #victoriousviolet,  #lusciouslavender, #powerofpurple, and  #antiquingwithmom moments find and inspire you!
